Used Stair Lifts

Question by Chloe: We need a stair lift, how can I get help with paying for it?
It needs two turns, custom not a straight staircase so we are looking at six to seven thousand dollars. Does anyone know if Medicare picks up anything or if there are organizations out there that help people with the cost of this?

No medicare will NOT pay for that. Nor will any charity. Suggest you move the bedroom to the lower level

you need to call a local government agency or maybe just a local code enforcement could give you what you need. I was able to go to city hall once to get a copy of a law that I needed and it was only a couple dollars. good luck.

Would anyone out there in a wheel chair buy a lift that would let you drive a truck that you could customize. Instead of the other option, a full size van?

Braun Corp. makes a lift for pickups. You still have to get your chair in somehow. It is a fold up chair lift for the driver side of a pickup. They have a lift for a manual wheelchair too for club cab pickups with suicide doors.
