So you have done your research and you definitely need a stair chair lift in your home, but you can’t afford it not even the used stair lifts that are on the market. So what can you do now? Yes there is and it allows you to go onto a rental plan that will be much easier to afford especially for pensioners with no nest egg. If you do end up using the lift long term it may in the end cost you more, but it is certainly viable if you don’t have the cash up front. So please only consider this option if you are certain it will only be for a short time. If you are struggling to come up with the initial cost some of the big stair chair lift companies may offer you a payment plan which can certainly take some of the pressure off. If you do go down the stair lift rental option then always get someone you trust to go over the contract to check for any anomalies and make sure everything is in order. You will still have to come up with an upfront deposit it is usually to cover the installation setting up and you may have to pay the first couple of payments at the time of installation.

If you have a curved staircase then the rental option may not be available to you as these are generally considered to be a custom fitting job, so you will only be able to get stair chair lift on a rental contract if you have a straight staircase. No other options will be available such as color or style, you pretty much just get given what ever is available.
